Hi, my name is Jennifer Abshire (formerly Krause). I got married in 2020 and reside in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. I’m passionate about Graphic Design and have over 10 years of experience with Graphic Design.

I’ve been working for Leidos, a government contractor and Fortune 500 company, since 2022. I started my position as a Graphic Designer/Visual Information Specialist on the Communications Support Services (CSS) program with Leidos supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs, Office of Communications in June of 2023. In this role I develop a variety of visual materials including digital and printed publications, branded templates, reports, infographics, PowerPoint presentations, brochures, logos, social media graphics, email headers and footers and other visual communication collateral while adhering to brand guidelines and 508 compliance. I also work collaboratively across the marketing and communications teams to highlight subject matter, scope of work and align with brand guidelines to effectively communicate the DOJ mission. Additionally, I execute projects and final delivery for deadlines, such as preparing files for print and digital while working in a timely manner.

Prior to my position on the CSS program I worked as a Graphic Designer for Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES). In this role I developed value-added graphics, figures, and charts that present a clear visual representation of Leidos' various security products, offerings and solutions. I designed a graphics template that is compliant with Request for Proposal (RFP) instructions and consistent with corporate branding guidelines and all opportunities within Leidos SES under $10M still use this template today. I created compliant graphics that are incorporated into proposals for SES national and international customers. I conducted interviews with Proposal Managers, Proposal Writers and Product Subject Matter Experts to gather technical information. In addition to that, I created compliant, branded PowerPoint templates and developed a final format for oral proposal presentations. I also assisted the marketing team by designing brochures, data sheets and booklets. I created cover packages inclusive of labels, logos, icons, and other media.

Immediately after graduating from college, I started working at Access Intelligence (AI), LLC as a Graphic Designer. My role at AI consisted of conceptualizing, creating and executing marketing collateral for various events, conferences and award shows. This involved communicating and collaborating with numerous internal organizations to manage and prioritize multiple graphic design projects. I assisted the email operations team and photographed a number of conferences sponsored by AI.

I graduated magna cum laude from Towson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Degree in Graphic Design and a 3.9+ Grade Point Average. I also have a minor in Family Studies. In addition to over 10 years of freelance graphic design work, I completed a great graphic design summer internship at Stanley Black & Decker and was asked to continue to work there as a Graphic Designer during my senior year of college.
